What the installer does

Windows

Delivered as an NSIS (Nullsoft) setup program (.exe) for x64 and ARM64 and an MSIX app package for x64 and ARM64.
The manifest does not state an install scope.
Registers the notion:// link protocol.
Associates with the file types .markdown, .md, .mdown, .mkd, .mkdn, and .rmd.
Packaged apps run with a declared set of capabilities and are installed per user by Windows.
Minimum Windows version: 10.0.19041.0.
Upgrades install over the existing version.

macOS

Delivered as a disk image (.dmg) for Intel (x64) and Apple silicon (ARM64).
Installs the app Notion.app into the Applications folder.
Requires macOS 13 or later.
The app updates itself, so it may be newer than the version Homebrew lists.
On uninstall, Homebrew asks the app to quit.
A full “zap” removal also deletes up to 9 support, cache and preference locations in your home folder.
